Has it REALLY been almost ONE YEAR?!

This is so hard to believe!!!! I am going to vow to be better now that school is starting back. I sure did love the blog. It was a great way to put all of my thoughts onto "paper" and reflect. I will post lots of pictures soon and let you see how we have grown. Here is a photo from Fripp Island of the four of us. Love you all!

Egg Hunt Anyone?

Wow! It has taken me quite a while to get back to my blog and for that I am sorry!
Below are pictures from our Easter Egg Hunt at Fluffy and Giggy's house.
We sure did have a BLAST looking for the egg with money. :)
Best Buddy looking for eggs
Fluffy with her camera ready to a-t-t-a-c-k
The Bissinger Bunch (with the new little Isaac Calvin)
My little Squirt-Muffin-cup-a-roo-roo and her excited face
Her serious face
Can you see how tight her legs are wrapped around this basket full of nummie-nummies?
My ever-so-handsome husband of mine
Can anyone spot the diva-divine in this photo?
The Reid Crew

Love this picture! We sure do love getting together and when we do, it looks like this. You can only get a couple of us to look at the camera. Heaven forbid we all what is asked of us. This is the perfect picture of happiness. Notice how the boys wore white shirts and the moms have some sort of black on and the little girls have pink on. Not planned one bit, yet love it!

Sweet Prayer Warriors

To all our sweet prayer warriors,
A BIG thank you! Squirt Muffin Cup is taking a turn for the better. We are now have two nights behind us of no poopies (during night time hours) which in turn is allowing her hiney to heal ever so slightly. During the day, she still is having diarrhea, so the healing process gets slowed down. I am now bathing her in baking soda which helps. And every time I allow her to roam around the house without her diaper as to allow her hiney to breathe, she allows her hiney to poopie. This never ceases to amaze her Daddy that I haven't caught on.
So, to summarize, we are so very appreciate of your prayers. I have really enjoyed having you stop me and ask how Squirt is. You all warm our hearts! Also, that you for all the offerings to help. And for those of you who did...THANK YOU! The dinner (b/c you know I had to hang up my Superwoman cape for a day or two), grocery shopping (b/c who wants to clean up isle 7? Really? Not me!), calls, messages, and prayers...they all mean the world to us! We are so blessed to have wonderful family and friends! You all are the best!
Much Love In Christ Who Strengthens Us,
The Reid's

I've Been Tagged

My dear friend Jennifer tagged me to go to our file folder and post the fourth picture. Well, here it is.
And yes, Squirt is messing with Boo's ear & Tay is looking somewhere else.
Don't laugh, this might be in your mailbox in December as our Christmas card if we can't find anything better. :)
So, now I tag Kaci, Mandy, Beth M., Sherry, and Tanya.
Really there are many more I could list, I just thought I'd pick five.

Water Baseball

Boo and Tay have been having a great time playing water baseball.
Boo received this game for his birthday party and they love it!
We would highly recommend this outdoor fun for any child.
I just hope the mosquito's won't come with your game.
Needless, to say, it comes with ours.
Boo is posing and Tay is trying not to eat her hair
He is so precious to me
This is a perfect shot.
He hit that ball out of the yard!
I love how the water looks like it was cut with the bat.

Tay is trying to drink the water and wet her hair.

Not concerned with the bat and ball.

The look before he hits the ball out of the yard.

Tay with her best attempt.
Back to the licking of the water
Tay finally getting the hang of the sport.
This game is a hit!
(No pun intended)

Kim Schmidt Photography

Can I tell you how thankful I am to have phoned this awesome photographer to come photograph my incredible family? Kim Schmidt is a fabulous woman who works very well with children and adults. We are so pleased with our photos, we ordered an entire album.

Kim took these photos of them dancing and I just fell in love with her custom storyboard. This is an awesome way to show how precious they are.
Thank you Kim!
If you are interested, please email her via her blog.
Please tell her we recommended her to you.

Today I'm A BIG Sister!

Here is a picture of my niece Ella Grace. Behind her is her mom, Shelly. My kids call her Aunt Peaches. Today, Aunt Peaches and Uncle Matt-Mew (my brother, Matt) went in to have baby Addison Rose.

These pictures below are the ones I took after Fluffy called to tell her she is officially a BIG SISTER. Addison Rose "Addie" was born today, February 20th around 3pm.
Addie weighed 7lbs 7oz and was 19.5 inches long.
We are so excited to have little Addie here with us now!

Weekend Away

Here we are! All smiles! This picture was taken right before we got in the car to head to Gentry's Farm from our weekend away with Fluffy and Giggy. We had a great time!
Can't leave out Alexander in the stroller and Superman in Gavin's arms!

Q-dog

My cousin, Quinton, is my only cousin on my mom's side of the family. He is such an awesome guy! I find it interesting now that I am 30, what type of relationship with either family members or friends really "last" through the years. I am so grateful that my relationship with Q has turned out the way it has. His wife Erin is precious and their little girl, Taylor Paige, is just as cute. They made the trip up from Jacksonville, FL to see family and friends and we are so thankful we are on the short list.
They are due with their second child January 22. I sure do wish our grandparents were alive to see the family blossom!
And yes, those are little mermaid panties Tay is sporting for the camera. :)

Would You Like Fried Rice with that?

So, we got the call from Grammie and G-Pa Friday for dinner. If you know us at all, we are always looking for a good dinner out of the house. (Hince why Chris and I are not very good at losing weight!) Grammie reminded Chris that he was going to be treated to a free dinner because he was the only one to properly place the needle and draw blood while she was in the hospital.
We love Shogun's in Cool Springs, so we packed up the car and went.
Here is a picture of us at the table. I was sitting next to Gavin, so for those that judge (you know who you are), he wasn't flanked out there all by his big boy self. As you can see, a hibachi grill and I are tight! The kids love the shrimp, Chris loves whatever comes his way and I am a fillet girl! From the previous posts, you know that Grammie is the one who makes the awesome surprises with her sewing machine. Here you have yet another example of her handy work. She informs us that she has a surprise for the kids, so we proceed to her car. The kids are on full alert for something spectacular and Grammie doesn't disappoint. She takes out the Spiderman pillowcase with GAVIN embroidered on the side, and a Lightin' McQueen and 'Mater pillowcase with TAYLOR MARIE embroidered on the side. (Yes, for those wondering why that type~Tay did request something in that fabric. She loves the movie!)
Needless to say, we came home shortly after and they we already undressing and redressing their pillows.
Grammie loves to make scrub hats you know and since her lovely son has a big 'ole head, she is always trying something new. Here is Chris' newest hat and a great shot of him with his dad. We had a wonderful night! Thank you Grammie and G-Pa!

Cousin Camp

I am now going to take the time to post about our trip to South Carolina for Cousin Camp. We were there from July 1st to the 3rd.
This is a very near and dear post for me. You see, Nonnie and De-Dah are so very special to me. Nonnie (the one holding her blue purse sitting on the end of the front row) and my grandmother, Baca, were first cousins and best friends. They had a very special relationship and were raised as sisters. When Baca passed away, Nonnie took me in as one of hers. She is so very special to me!
Now back to what is cousin camp. Cousin Camp was formed when Nonnie and De-Dah's four children starting having children of their own. Their rule is: as long as you are potty trained you can stay as long as you like.

Back when the kids were younger and I wasn't married, I started to help with cousin camp. When I met Chris, he started helping with the camp. Now that we are married with children, we attend cousin camp. It really is a great thing!
When their grandkids were younger, it was a week long event. The parents would "drop off" their kids on Sunday and "pick up" on Saturday. What a treat to have a whole weeks vacation!
Nonnie would have the entire week planned out! She had prepared every meal, trip, nap, everything down to the last detail. Now that her real grandchildren are much older, the week has become two or three days and the trips are for the older ones. It is hard to plan cousin camp when the children have a hundred other camps to attend. Nevertheless, we had a blast driving to West Columbia, SC and being surrounded in love. It has been awesome to watch the children grow and embrace my children.

Sweet Angel

This sweet Angel's name is Ella Grace. We sometimes call her Ella Bella. She is such a treat to have around! My brother Matt and sister-in-love Shelly, are the proud parents to this precious little girl. She is VERY well loved by all and we all can't get enough of her smiles and laughter.
Ella is now 15 months old and we have loved watching her grow up into this adorable person with LOTS of personality.

A Day of Play

One of the MANY blessings of being a SAHM is the endless amounts of play/learning opportunities I have. Gavin and TaylorMarie LOVE to play as much as I do, so guess what 90% of our day is filled with. We have been spending our days with Grammie (she is recovering from back surgery and we are her therapy) and she is amazed at how they never bother to ask if the TV can be turned on. We just do not turn it on and therefore A LOT of playing/learning gets done around here. I LOVE my job!!!

Our "Buster-Boo-Bear" is Four

Gavin was on the bobcat helping his Papa tear up our driveway a couple of weeks ago. We were tired of the blacktop in our backyard that we were not using and decided to get rid of it. Only now we have a bunch of gravel. If anyone has a dumptruck full of topsoil just bring it our way. Gavin has also joined the world of ATV riding, bike riding and golf since his birthday on June the 18th. Hard to believe he is already 4. He is learning to ride and swing the clubs.
